Im not too worried about a Chinese attack. I think both gov are okay with the status quo. Japan has declared that they will protect Taiwan if China tries anything and I think (or hope) that the US would have their sh*t together and help. I think Taiwan is the #2 buyer of armed goods and the US allowing China to take Taiwan would give China full access to the Pacific. I also believe India would help as well. The China gov is always spitting out propaganda, but we (People who live on Taiwan) ignore it or just laugh at it.

People should have the right to govern themselves. They do that in Taiwan. They don't in mainland China.
Taiwan is not part of China, and shouldn't be.

Because with America ruled by a weak puppet with deep ties to the Chinese Communist Party, they can take Taiwan without triggering a response from the west. If China moves on Taiwan, I would imagine that they would have already enacted a plan to keep Japan and South Korea from effectively intervening on Taiwan’s behalf.
A strong U.S. that opposes CCP expansionism, is willing to build regional and international coalitions to militarily support a line in the sand, and backs Taiwan to the hilt was a political reality that is no longer under the current American regime.

Honestly if China takes over Taiwan which looks very likely--you and your families should stock up ASAP on consumer staples (dry rice, flour, water, etc.) because China will then control the entire world due to controlling 90% of the Semiconductor Industry. This will lead to massive food and consumer goods shortages throughout the US for at least five years.
