My wife is going to buy a new car, or actually, she's probably going to buy one a year or two old with low mileage. She has owned a Lexus GS and regretted selling it and now wants another one, but I have noticed that the similar model Acura is less expensive than the Lexus, and I think the body style is prettier and the options are at least as good.

You ever owned one or knew somebody that did? Were they good cars?

You know, my chauffeur seems to like them, and I really value his opinion.

Tell your sister that new Acura will look great going in and out of the trailer park.

I’m an Acura fanboy. I own two . I got hooked on them in Japan back in the 90s. Great entry - level luxury vehicles and a great value if you are the buy and hold type. The old TSX with the sports package is as fun as it gets for the price. My wife has an MDX and she loves it . Honda reliability.

We had an ‘08 TL...before Acura made them ugly and kept it till we traded in for Lexus Suv. It was a great looking car that only had ONE minor issue. It’s a good upscale brand, but been reading about some transmission issues with the newer TL’s.

It's a Honda.

It's reliable and efficient and features an excellent interior. It's also loud as hell and comes with the worst paint finish quality in the industry.

Less of a luxury car than a Lexus, IMO. Wife had a Lexus RX and now has an Acura MDX because of third row seating. Definitely a downgrade. Reliability likely the same, but a step down as far as ride, road noise, etc.

This! Acura def not on par w/ Lexus. For your sake, Lexus IS supposed to come out with a 3 row RX soon.

Personally, I’d stick with Lexus mainly because the entire time your wife drives the Acura, she’ll talk about the Lexus she wanted.

Wife has a 16 RDX for 2 years. Great suv and Acura of Baton Rouge has been solid. I would buy another.
