That's 100% incorrect.

Glass and alcohol are prohibited (doesn't mean it can't be snuck in) but you can absolutely bring your own food, soft drinks, snacks, small cooler, etc. You can carry it with you or rent a locker inside of the parks for the day if you want.

Rent a nice condo on the beach along the Panhandle and you and your kids will have a lot more fun at a fraction of the cost.

We just went 3 weeks ago along with my wifes parents. For all 5 of us it was $6k. We only did 2 parks, stayed at a resort on grounds and got a package that included meals, and used points to cover the flights.

We are talking about going back for Halloween and can do it without her parents for half the price.

It only costs us about $2000 total for 3 full days of parks with 2 kids. That includes a fancy Cinderella or Beast Dinner.

But.... we stay at a crappy Vrbo right across I-4 called Parkway Palms for $120/night.
And we get in the parks free. Yea that part.

Those 2 character meals were probably 25% at least.

We’re doing an adult Disney trip in September. Already have the tickets and air bnb but it’ll be the food and wine festival so I’m budgeting $400/day for food plus $500 for the lightsaber making and $500 for the fireworks party.

So right around 4K.

Never went to Disney as a kid and I worked out pretty well. Put that $40k in an etf for them that they can access post 30 years of age.

Oh for sure.

Outside of reason, it's hard to put a price on teh magic in your kids eyes when they go to Disney. I feel bad for the kids with parents that don't recognize that.

Sure I'm not a huge fan of some things Disney corporate does, but I'm not robbing my kids of experiences they love over stuff like that.

It’s the sole reason my husband agreed to go to Disney.

Two things are a must when we go.

1. Park hopper
2. Staying on the monorail

my nephew is a Navy pilot and also flies for Delta, we were at a get together last year and someone asked him why he went into the Navy, he replied "so I could to get more money to buy Star Wars legos", and I'm pretty sure he wasn't joking
