Turns out that one of my 4 first cousins had a different father than the other 3. A priest. Crazy shite I tell you. Did not go over well. Both parents are deceased, but the priest is still alive.
Big wow.
Get the story. The Book of 23.

I don’t understand the fear of ”govt having my dna”. They already issue you a serial number, have all your banking documents, medical documents, vehicle information, housing information.
There's a big difference. Firstly, you are your DNA. So everything about your heritage, your health, and your predispositions can be gleaned from your DNA.
It could potentially be used to clone you at any point. For what purpose? Only time could tell their motivations.
This hasn't happened for a while, but suppose the Government is taken over by some sort of political group that believes in genetic purity. What happens when they have a database of every person's DNA that they can use AI to sort through and create lists of undesirables in moments? What happens when it's not Jews this time, but specifically your clade?
Every idiot in the world wants to say "if you're not breaking the law, you have nothing to worry about", but what happens if the law changes to include things you aren't willing to give up? Like your religion, or your guns, or your pets?
Now, imagine that a government has outlawed a type of person. You can't say that it wouldn't happen, because it's happened scores of times throughout history!

The joke is on them if they are stupid enough to create a second me.

If things get that dystopian, wouldn't they just be taking your DNA anyway?

Perhaps, but why assist them to become a dystopian society? Do you hate freedom?

So anybody that doesn't do what you want them to do hates freedom.
Interesting perspective.

I'm not asking you to do anything except not support fascism. Is that a struggle for you?

I found out that I am part black, Jew and middle eastern. I’ll definitely be cleansed if the right dictator comes along.
The crazy thing is one of my nick names in high schools was “niggah jew”.
I also have 60 4th cousins in California.

No one in my family was slutting it up, so my 23 and me was pretty boring.

Sorry to tell you, but Americans are already trying to eliminate white, Christian males.

I've seen news of the pogroms, but haven't reported to my detention center yet. I'm waiting on the Gestapo to come get me and drag my lily-white butt to the concentration camp outside of Biloxi.

I did mine looking for medical history after my dad (who was adopted) died. As far as privacy concerns, 1. the government already has my DNA on file, 2. the data they've collected through my phone and internet use is more concerning to me.
Besides the medical info it connected me to the biological family. Well, half of that side anyways because:
A logging town whore which I'd imagine was one of the shittier prostitute jobs. She kept six and adopted out another six.

These services give you a list of to whom you may be related? Who is your famous half-aunt?

I just don't know why it matters if the government has my DNA.
If you are of European descent this is an accurate statement. Last year over 60% of Americans of European descent could be matched to a 3rd cousin or closer based on the sample set already collected.

3rd cousin
For the record, 3rd cousins are two people who share the same great-grandparents. So that's really not too terribly far back in genealogy terms.
