Irresponsible Gun Owner

Because the bleeding hearts are taking over and we no longer can hold people accountable.
We also like to sit on a high horse and expect our examples to be followed by everyone else because we a have an over-inflated perception of ourselves.

It's pretty damn irresponsible to leave a gun in car

Sounds like you're irresponsponsible on many levels.

I leave 2. The least of your worries if you break into my garage and truck.

I leave 2 in my truck every night.

I leave a glock 19 in my truck when parking at home. If it gets stolen, oh well -- it's a glock. I'll bring it in when parking overnight for hotels and shite

They're called criminals, and they appreciate the easy access to getting a gun.
Unpossible
Surely they've read the laws we have about firearms purchases.

Whoever the frick wants to. IF my pistol is locked in my truck, it's not my responsibility if a damn burglar breaks in. If someone breaks into my house and steals a gun, does that make me irresponsible too? Idiot.

This is the only place I've ever seen where this is not the default consensus. Social circles, gun clubs, gun boards, etc. It comes up fairly often on here, and it's an aberration from the opinions of most responsible gun owners, I think. I don't really get it.

WTF? Who leaves a gun in their vehicle overnight?
(Hint: it's pretty close to zero). Keep it in perspective.

Car is extension of home. Is leaving a gun at home irresponsible? Wouldn't you have to break the law and break into the car (or home) to actually break the law some more and steal the gun?
But yeah blame the gun owner.
But yeah blame the gun owner.

They're dumb to equate given that cars are broken into at an exponentially higher rate.

Can we not blame the criminal first and foremost while also promoting the idea that leaving a gun in a car is a pretty bad idea?
FFS, leaving anything of value is a pretty bad idea in most places.
