Doubtful. For a while there they were working on developing a carrier twice the size of the old Enterprise.
I lived in Hampton for almost 6 years. Had a ton of friends in the shipyard. Loved driving across the bay and seeing carrier row. Helped a friend move his stuff onto the Enterprise for deployment. His quarters were like 17 floors up in the conning tower. Talk about a hike.
