I started watching the Netflix show on it last night. The murders were only a few days before Paul was due in court for the boating accident.
Wait, I thought the netflix show doesn't come out until late February. What show are you watching?

Sorry, it was not on Netflix. It was this mini-series:
Murdaugh Murders: Deadly Dynasty
- with Michael Virzi

The video shows that Alex was still at Moselle during the time frame that he said he had already left and was with his dying dad. It's also just a few minutes before the time of death. It ruins his alibi.
In that 62 page report, it was reported

According to the report, a cell phone in Paul Murdaugh’s back pocket had been removed and a blood stain was found inside the pocket. Kinsey said he believes the phone was taken out of Paul’s pocket by someone else after he was killed and the blood stain was produced during its retrieval.
So the phone was taken out of his back pocket but it was found on or near Paul. I wonder why? Was it left because it could have been tracked? Or was the killer trying to erase anything off it but couldn’t?

Is there any livestreaming from inside the courtroom for this one?

My understanding is that jury selection starts today and could take most or all of this week. No live courtroom coverage during this from what I understand. Once the trail begins, courtTV is suppose to have full coverage of it.

The Netflix show has been out for awhile. We watched it a couple months ago.
They also mentioned on there that the wife had someone looking into the financials for the pending divorce. That’s likely what got her knocked off.
Also, her and Paul were at the house when the housekeeper “fell” down the steps. Paul’s call with 9-1-1 was suspect as frick. I sincerely doubt she was fully innocent in all of this either.
ETA: As Obtuse pointed out, I mixed up the HBOMax show with the Netflix show.

I have a really hard time taking anyone named "Harpootlian" seriously.

That would be a really dumb mistake if you had to go against him. Probably the best attorney in SC and is definitely the most powerful. Oh did I mention he is a jerk and a Democrat.

From WJCL TV
quote:
Jury Selection Day 1: Questions posed to potential jurors on Monday included what they do for a living, their marital status and what their spouse does.
But when the question turned to whether they had heard of the case, every single potential juror stood up.
From Facebook groups to local news to national news and documentaries, all potential jurors had knowledge of the case.

Oh, I know. Just goes to show how batshit insane SC is that some shadowy "Harpootlian" character is pulling the strings I guess

Today in jury selection, a list of potential witnesses was read to potential members of the jury and they were asked if they had relationships with any of them.
LINK
it's not the kind of list we could check off people as they are called to testify, but it gives some ideas of who might be called.
Comments from the sole surviving son, Buster, as to whether or not he's supporting his Father are included. And eye opening, to me at least.

At some point in a national deal like this, you have to accept people are going to know about it.
They’re doing something similar with the Delphi trial, bringing folks in from around South Bend, IN. But folks are going to know.

After day one the social media people are saying that they are having a rough go getting jurors, many are claiming various things to be dismissed even that they are felons.
This will be an epically bad look for SC.

Also happening today (Tuesday) (not a part of this trial), Buster Murdaugh, the surviving son reached an agreement (financial settlement) with Mallory's family as a result of her death because of his brother's BUI crash into a bridge.
There are no details of the settlement, just that it happened.

Day 2, jury selection and judge rulings.
The biggie today is the ballistics report of an expert tying the casings near Maggie's body with casings found at a shooting range on the property and elsewhere on the property. The Greenville paper explains why this is so important to the prosecution's case

He better hope there aren't any Gamecocks on that jury. His crusade to shut down bars in 5 Points (especially Taneyhill's bar) have made him despised in a lot of Gamecock circles. It may not make a difference, but you never know.
