MNF has been hurt more with their crummy matchups but what was supposed to be a marquee game turned into a Ravens rout.

MNF just feels like a wasteland of a game.
-It's usually a shitty matchup
-ESPN acts like MNF is some grand event worthy of having its own records and
"moments". MNF Is cool as a concept, but I could give two shits about someone's "MNF debut" or the "MNF record that they broke". It's just another regular season game.
-The graphics and displays (scoreboard, etc) just feel cheap and tacky
-The announcers suck now
-ESPN should leave NFL broadcasts to the big boys (Fox, CBS, NBC)
Sunday Night Football kicks MNF's arse in every way.

I have no opinion.
I haven't watch NFL (except a few minutes where Saints got screwed) since Paperdick showed his commie arse.

I don't understand how ABC/ESPN can excel in college football production, but fail so hard when it comes to a single NFL game a week. Just literally copy the ABC Saturday night production and it would already be 10x better. Tessitore isn't the problem, it's everything surrounding him. Just bring in fricking Rod Gilmore who did commentary with Tess on those Friday night college games from a decade ago.
You know it's bad when your top announcer and probably most talented guy at ESPN, Chris Fowler, refuses to touch it.

Up stepped McFarland, who had spent much of the season patrolling the sidelines in the now-infamous “Booger Mobile”, one of the most bizarre and pointless inventions in the history of television.
Imagine being in the planning room when someone proposed this and everyone said, "absolutely lets do it"

MFN used to be great.
Tess is one thing, but McFarland needs to be removed form the broadcast altogether. He is trash.

Whatever
Dierdorf was great pointing out line play and really opened up a new aspect of the game for many people, including myself. The main problem with MNF is that Sunday and Thursday get the best games. One visit a year by the Pats, Cowboys, Steelers, and Saints isn't going to move the needle.

Here's the thing. Before the game was played the Ravens/Rams game looked very good on paper
MNF was at its best when it had the cast of characters in the booth. You had Gifford doing play by play, Dandy Don Meredith doing color and getting sloshed on air and Cosell talking about monkeys .
To be fair MNF has been declining since the 90's just around the time free agency took off. There used to be some great games on there like Miami v Chicago in 1985. Hell Saints Raiders in 1979 was great
