Just bring in fricking Rod Gilmore who did commentary with Tess on those Friday night college games from a decade ago.

You're kidding, right?

When MNF was only game in town, it was great. Now, with Thursday and Sunday night, it's no big deal.

Cosell talking about monkeys .

That made me LOL.
I actually remember when that happened.
Was funny then and funny now. But it did cost him his job, even way back then

MNF is the “get out of jail” card for gamblers.

Some of those sentences that was posted from last night had more context to them. Boog and Tessitore really don't bother me. I rather Boog than Jason Witten, he was horrible, but unless someone is just down right awful.. As in they are not familiar with the teams (which happens more in bowl games), then it really doesn't bother me.

Sad thing is that Cosell used that as a term of endearment towards people. He referred to his grand kids as a bunch of monkeys, etc.

He was a big civil rights fighter championing Ali and other black athletes like Curt Flood and others to obtain free agency.

His observations were keen.

Agree, it wasn’t meant to be anything racist.
That was just Howard being Howard.
