Instagram/Selfies - How out of control is this?

- Saw a lady essentiely push her younger daughter out of the frame so she could get her selfie in. Kid was just trying to play with Mom and take funny pictures like kids do.
- I have been recently been told that some people will plan a short weekend getaway to exotic local but do multiple outfit changes for the day to post on social media to give the appearance they are on a longer vacation.
- On vacation at the beach in a small condo complex two teenage girls essentially spent the entire trip taking selfies of each other at the beach and pool in various poses you see from instagram "models".
How far does the narcissism go or is there a tipping point?

Pretty often see people, usually women, stay at LSU games just long enough to take a selfie, then leave.

There is a direct correlation between the amount of selfies a woman/chick takes and their level of crazy.

I'm so thankful my wife isn't like this. It's weird cause she almost feels pressured to do this shite, but will at the end of the night say something like... oh we never took a picture...and then shrug and not worry about it.

I have witnessed a young woman actually tell the rest of the people in the room to go check out the photo she just posted from right where she was sitting. She took a selfie in front of people and wanted them to go check it out. My reply was, "Why? You're sitting right there. I saw you take it."

I went on a bachelor party recently to a very scenic place and me, nor any of the other dudes didn't take on pic the whole stay

I really just feel bad for these people and have made the determination that when I have kids of my own I will not be like that nor will I allow them access to this technology at too early of an age. I'm in the generation that briefly remembers dial up and still calling house phones before literally everything that breathed had a cell phone. I see some of my younger cousins who have known nothing else and those things are like crack to them. The worst are the parents who enable it and then let it take over their lives themselves.

Asian tourists are the best at it. The thought process must be "well, we're standing in front of a church from 1532, but let's take a photo in front of this fire hydrant instead"

i bring a couple of different shirts/hats when i fish or hunt and take a bunch of pictures to send to my buddies to make them all jealous that all i do is hunt and fish. they don't think i work.
