Does anyone know an inspector/company in the NOLA area that can find out where water is getting into the walls of a house? Girl I know has mold starting to grow above her window and along where I assume the studs are. I think it's the window flashing that's leaking but I'd rather let an expert deal with it.

My brother had the same issue and I think it was determined that the flashing was leaking.

Without getting too deep into this the mold/wetness normally is found below the leak not above it.

You definitely need a pro.

No offense but she sounds like a murderous whore.

agreed but that's all I can see. The window is almost at the roof line. The window is 2 years old and the flashing is old and rusty.

Is the roof and gutters above said window free of debris?

What kind of cladding/skin make up the area around the window?

Is there a soffit or overhang above the window?

Though the water damage may show at the window water finds the path of least resistance to try to vacate itself so the leak could very well be someplace else.

Rent a FLIR camera from Home Depot, should be pretty easy to locate the source

Before you call American Leak, you need to determine if this is an active leak associated with plumbing vs. a leak that only occurs when it rains.

it's the top floor of the house on an exterior bedroom wall. It's not plumbing related...

American Leak finds plumbing leaks, not roof or flashing leaks
