It tastes exactly the same. Even the little store smells the same. My kids are now obsessed. Life going full circle!

My go to Am Mart purchase back in the day:

Turkey/pepper cheese poboy with mustard and lettuce only. Cool ranch Doritos and a milk.

Does Inga work at the one by campus or at Brightside?

I remember that plane being in rotation when it was $5.99 and the poboys were really long. It was the pre sliced roast beef but better than the on campus options.

Silver Moon was also in my regular rotation. They used to have one on Chimes in the 90s. Like $5 for a huge plate of soul food.

I forgot it was only $5.99 when I was there. It feels so long ago but at the same time not so long ago.

Eh. I've lived in Florida for 18 years since grad school. I love a Publix sub. But there was something about that AM mart combo that always just hit the spot.

Cory used to sell the sandwich alone fir like $3.99. It was a steal.

They didn’t start bundling the chips and drink until after he left and then jacked up the price.

It’s still a solid sandwich but the chips are super small bags of air and if you do t drink soft drinks not a great deal.

He’s probably not wrong, Publix subs rock. Shame you don’t have one near you.

My part of SC there’s Publix everywhere, but I’d still trade one for an Ingles, and even though I’ve never been to a HEB probably one of them too.

Pretty sure it was $5.99 when I was as in college.

ETA: now I see all the other posts as well. Good to reaffirm my memory as to not feel so old.
