So promising and I so hope this is true. Why is all of this so freaking anecdotal? Maybe because it would be cruel to withhold potential treatment? I know that happened with AIDS.
With so many sick people, this seems like a slam dunk research case. Should take 3 days for a randomized, double blind placebo controlled clinical trial to take place. Heck, you could do it in a single medical center almost. If you're worried about withholding treatment, choose a place that is already out of those meds as your control.
Political parties aside, I don't trust a single thing from CNN, or FOX. Besides his 'pay patients for clinical trials clinic', the doc does seem credible (Duke/Yale and multiple appointments in the NY/NJ area)

It’s weird for sure, several users on here have latched to this. I hope that it does do something to help and the sooner the better. I think some people beat the drums so much for this drug out of fear.

They latch on to it because it's all the rage in right-wing media and Trump mumbled about them at a far too early stage. People are right to mistrust CNN, but then they just make the same mistake drinking another flavor of Kool-Aid in Fox News.
At this point it is just as likely, if not moreso, that a vaccine derived from antibodies (from people who have had the virus and recovered) will be what solves this pandemic.

I mean, yeah no doubt Fox News is certainly putting out a lot of the articles related to this drug. But, what about Fauci himself saying that trials are ongoing and it shows promise? should we ignore that? should we believe he's also drinking said Kool-Aid? i don't understand.
