I bond with dogs. But my cat is 100000x cleaner than my dog will ever be. And my dog is my everything.

I'm legitimately surprised at all the cat support on this board
Cats are obsessively clean creatures, to the point that your cat was miserable having to shite in that box after a few days and tried to hold it as long as it could until someone cleaned it out.
Leaving a dirty litter box is a form of torture because they WILL hold it until they absolutely can't anymore.

I hate cats.
When we all grew up and left the house mom got a cat. It sat with her, slept next to her, and never tore anything up. She would play fetch with rubber bands.
Screw that cat. She shedded everywhere, shite in the litter box and kicked it out of the door, and knocked everything off the counters. No one with allergies could walk in that house.
I was glad when the cat kicked the bucket.
ETA I forgot she shite in the gas log fireplace. What an arse.

Dogs act apologetic if they shite in the House on accident. At least mine does. And it’s only a last resort.

Was at a rig the other week up in NLA. 42 degrees and raining. This little kitten came up to me that some jackass just left for the hands to take care of. 2.2lbs. I adopted her and she's great. Not loud, playful and knows when it's bedtime. Minus the $1,000 I've dropped on her with vet bills, litter, etc she's great. Feel like I really saved her life.

Good job, you did save its life. Cats, especially ones that are hand raised by one or two people, can be extremely loyal but much easier to take care of than dogs because they are more independent.
I know my cat won't leave my side and would probably fight to the death over me, and I didn't even really want her when we got her. She doesn't really like anyone else though.

She follows me everywhere. Not sure if we've reached that point in the relationship where she'd fight over me, but maybe that'll come in time. Never thought I'd say... guess I'm a cat guy now. Yours sounds like a good gal!
