Dogs are definitely more "disgusting" than cats.

So you both left a cat alone indoors for a week and are surprised that you returned to a box overflowing with piss and shite?
Just how stupid are the 2 of you?

indoor pets are trashy as frick.
I have a few tattoos and an indoor cat. I feel like I must be shattering the trashy metwr around here.
Indoor cats live longer and have fewer health problems, so we've always kept ours indoors. We had our male cat die this May at 16, but our female cat is pushing 17 now. She never has accidents, doesn't spill her food and that's it.
We literally only have to scoop the box and refill her food and water and she's fine. Other than hair floating around when she's shedding, zero issues.
I've never understood why people have an issue with indoor animals, especially cats. They're as close to zero maintenance as it gets, and why have a cat if you're not a fan of it being around too much?
My wife had them before I entered the picture. They both warmed up to me pretty fast (male cat right away) and we regularly joke they're more like dogs than cats with how human centric they are.
I'm trashy like Oscar the Grouch.

She should get her money back. To take care of a cat you need to scoop the box and change food/water.
This cousin had 2 five second jobs and blew off one of them, despite being paid. There's your problem.

Gf cleans the litterbox every day so I dont normally smell it. She has been out of town for a week and I was gone as well. I got back and decided to clean the litterbox and ended up puking in it. I'd rather clean a gut shot deer. Idk how cat people do it. At least with dogs they dont normally shite inside for their entire life.
Did the OP ever come back on here and explain why he and the g/f are so dumb and/or negligent to disappear for a week and not expect that to happen?
Except for the puking part, no explanation needed. Pussy.

Animals inside are disgusting.

My cat comes in when he wants, stays in for hours. I have no litter box, he goes out when he needs to shite or piss.
Same here. My cat will find a person and meow to be let out to do her business. She solved a mouse problem and occasionally catches outdoor mice and moles. She has a job to do and does it so we are good with each other. Otherwise, I hate cats.
FWIW, all you have to do to train a cat to go outside is to put the litter box and food/water bowls in a garage and make her sleep out there a few weeks. She will know where to go. I don't understand why people keep litter boxes in their house. This trains the cat that it is ok to use the bathroom in the house.

Um, because not everyone has an outdoor cat? Many cats will run away and never come back if let out. Just like many peoples indoor dogs would do the same.

Cat piss has a much stronger odor to it than dog piss.

If you have the money and they will use it, I highly recommend the Robot Litter 3 connect. It's a ton, but saves money in the end IMO. Also you can just use cheap trash bags from any store as a liner. You have 3 months to send it back if needed I think.
It is so worth it.
