I haven’t been but would love to go to see the chaos.

Two things that stick out from watching Travel vloggers… the noise pollution, horns just going any time of the day or night. The other is that no matter where you are someone is standing and watching you.

But these states fear that India's shifting demographics with varying population shares between states, will significantly impact electoral representation and state wise-allocation of parliamentary seats and federal revenues.
"They fear being penalised for their effective population control policies, despite being better economic performers and contributing significantly to federal revenues," Srinivas Goli, a professor of demography at the International Institute for Population Sciences, told the BBC.

The fact that India thinks they need to grow quicker tells me how they view human life. That country needs a population decrease, not even more people.

The entire world needs more people, so if India wants to be the country popping them out and exporting them, that’s better than jihadist Muslims trying to breed western civilization out from the inside.

I support more Indian human exports - give me your Slurpees.

Because most countries are falling below the replacement rate for their populations, and despite the erroneous belief the earth is overpopulated, it is far from it.

Every thread about the country in question or their people gets RA'd and removed.

China is going to fail massively in the 30-40 years. They already sell more adult diapers than infant diapers.

When you kill all the female babies, this is what you get.

Its virtually impossible to win.

I've only won once, I went straight to the south coast on the ocean and it happened to be near a major shrine, by accident.

I’m sure it has its upsides. All the Indian people I know in the US love going back to visit India.

Of course they love going back. It's cheaper and they get to lord their "wealth" over their countrymen. You won't find a more class conscious group of people on the face of the earth.

If you haven't seen India then your 70% achievement will be pretty lame, IMO. I've traveled India and worked in Pakistan and I can't imagine giving those experiences up.

This board is full of posters who condemn places they have never visited.

Yes. Why exactly?

Western countries seem to need workers to support aging non-workers and younger, working-age, non-workers (welfare queens in past terminology).

But, what is really needed is a self-supporting population where people take care of their aging parents and are less dependent on government in general. The opposite of what our governing class is purposely growing. I believe there is a model that works that does not rely on a growing population.

i fail to see where this is a problem, other than exposing various Ponzi schemes used by Western politicians to keep themselves elected, which will ultimately fail eventually anyway

what is the earth’s ideal population?

if it is your belief that the earth is “far from” overpopulation, why is there still widespread poverty and starvation?

Can you point to a time in the past when there was far less population that starvation and poverty was not widespread?
