Nah, just reality. It's a simple mandate for cities/states to keep around to keep the Safety Karens from bitching at them.

Now whether people continue to follow them much longer is another question entirely.

Indiana ended the charade. Now let's see if other Red states follow suit.

Yep. I wonder who will be next.

I'll respectfully wear one until the spring (unless the mandate is revoked before then). Once March 21, 2021 hits, however, I'm throwing all of my masks away.

Not really. Its fear mongering. They will start being lifted after flu season.

I've had dozens of people over the last 6 months tell me things like "Will you still be saying masks are stupid when you are intubated and hooked up to a ventilator?" or "Will you be saying opening up is a good idea when you are on your death bed from getting COVID?"

They still act like this thing is a death sentence.

At what point do we say enough is enough? So, I am still in a hospital, since June 10, and I have a very major surgery tomorrow morning (in the belly, again; this makes like 6 or 7 times in surgery this year, JFKM), which means I'm going back to ICU (which means I can't talk shite to Bama fans when Aggie destroys Bama like in 2012); I am so dreading this. I'm gonna have my fun until then (which is talk smack on message boards - fun, isn't it). Unfortunately, I don't see my state opening up anytime soon. Welp, for those of you in Indiana, think about us. This will be one of my last posts for a while.

I hope you're right, but I think you underestimate the power of the Karen Brigade when it comes to pestering city/state officials.

They'll scream blood murder the minute a revocation of the mask mandate is discussed, so it will be easier to just keep it in place.

It's already happened here.

I support their decision but it's unfortunate it was Indiana with the balls to do it. Cases are actually rising in the Midwest right now so cases in Indiana are going to go up and the media is going to have a jack off fest over how terrible Indiana is.

It needs to be a sun belt state that went through Corona in July and is bottoming out now.

I feel like this entire time, Destroya may be trying to say Phase 5 after all. Poor lady just can't seem to count that high though.

Every state with a Republican Governor should do this right away. Zero reason not to and it would look amazing going into the election

Imagine being the miserable a-hole to downvote a state feeling they could go back to normal.
