They get pissed real fast too. You tell them from the get go that you aren't interested in what they are selling and they get pissed.
I just hung up on one a minute ago. I waste their time a little bit then hang up on them now.

If I see or hear the word "kindly" I'm out.

How much did they take you for?

Everyday, all day, the last 60 days 611 spam calls
My dad gets around 20-30 a day. He refused to change numbers so I blocked all numbers without his knowledge and whitelist the few people who still call him on his landline.
The scammers still wont quit. The same exact numbers appear three times a day until I assume they finally reach someone. I dont understand how they fail to realize they're wasting their own time.

Texts starting with area code 63- (Philippines) letting me know this is my final notice about overdue EZ Pass toll fees. "Collection services will be contacted if not resolved immediately."
I got this same text. I responded “frick off” then blocked the number

Around late 2013 to early 2014 I had a conversation with an Indian lady that went like this:
Indian lady: Because of your consistent payment of credit cards and mortgage, you’re being awarded a government grant of $7000.
Me: Really? Which department of the government is awarding the grant?
Long period of silence
Indian lady: The department of grants.

I don't think blocking them will help. I actually Think blocking caller numbers is counter productive. They know you blocked the last number they used. Thus they know they have a viable number and just switch numbers to call you.

I got that call also. At the thought of the government giving me money I immediately burst into uncontrollable laughter. For some odd reason, she hung up on me

Oh, I block every number.

quote:Turning 65. Seriously, the scammers think every old person is gullible. They prey on old people, and their goal is to steal their savings. Once you trun 65, you'll get 20 calls a day trying to get you to order stuff that Medicare will pay 100%. I'm talking about actual companies that just want to sell you things Medicare will pay for. They try to get you to order phones, medical alerts, diabetic supplies, even if you've never been diagnosed with diabetes. In my mind, it's a lot like pharmaceutical companies advertising prescription meds on TV.
What are yall doing to attract so many?
Trump needs Elon on this quickly.

I get these calls from spoofed numbers no lie 25+ times a day. I’ve tried being nice, yelling, and messing with them to take me off this list. Nothing works -Medicare update -accident I was in and haven’t received compensation These are the two main ones
Ever noticed that if you travel to a certain city, they will spoof numbers from that city?
I live in Birmingham and travel to Huntsville, Tuscaloosa, hartselle, etc for work and on the way home I get calls with the numbers from this cities…. How do they know where I’ve been or where I’m at for the day?

You really need to watch the HBO show Telemarketers - it will help you understand a lot of things

I have a little fun with them now. I'll answer and say "Sheriff's Office. How may I direct your call?" I'm going to start answering as "Federal Bureau of Investigation" next.

Let's set up a call center and only target India and Nigeria.
