Less stupid than saying line dancing is trashy. It’s a stupid opinion

Yeah I tried to listen pretty carefully and didn’t hear anything terrible. Just sounded like party music.

And I’ll add, this is a group of kids outside, being active, socializing and having a good time without causing mischief.

Meanwhile, they have chronically online, depressed classmates who have frequent suicidal ideation….the miserable twitter posts are probably coming from the adult versions of those kids.

Jake, are you a contrarian for fun, or do you actually think this way?

Just looks like a modern line dance to me. Nothing to see here.

I don’t see the lyrics but the sound is clearer if you go to YouTube, Spotify or Apple Music and listen.

Google John Weatherall III, who I assume this song is about. It’s actually a pretty cool story and why I think the lyrics are probably pretty tame.

YouTube story on John Weatherall III

ETA: I have a teen daughter and wouldn’t have an issue with her being in the video.

I don’t have a daughter, but I’ve been dancing to this song myself ever since I heard it a few days ago. When the beat drops it’s hard to resist. I think the girls in the video are as cute as can be. I’d even say, wholesome looking.

My son and his wife are happily raising their own kids, thanks.

Sometimes I'm just a contrarian. But I view line dancing as kinda trashy. That's not to say I don't do mildly trashy things at times, but I realize it's trashy and when someone calls it trashy I don't get offended, I usually laugh about it.

Can you explain the trashiness of people doing dance steps in unison as a group?

Are there some trashy line dances? Yes. But line dancing itself isn’t, and it’s fun for the dancers.

(I try the trashy moves out at home. I’m too old to do them in public.)

It’s El Gaucho lol. Literally every post is satire or trolling.

Young Hub City is from Louisiana (New Iberia, I think) and likely capitalizing on John Weatherall going viral. Good for all of them. I like the song and judging from the number of people asking what it is, lots of other people do too.

I have to admit I don’t know all of the OT reputations/personalities unless I’ve interacted with them a few times. I know El Gaucho’s name, but I don’t know what he’s known for.
