In retrospect what do you think about the aesthetics of the Twin Towers

I thought they were great growing up but not really because I enjoyed the architecture but because they were the tallest and there were two of them. As I’ve gotten older I find that I care less and less for how they looked and it really disrupted the skyline with these giant boxes.

The new tower has grown on me, I didn’t like it at first

I get all the emotion tied up in it and there’s no way to remove that. I’m just asking from an architectural / aesthetic perspective.

The originals were better than the new one, IMO.
Just simple twin towers.

Those iconic skyscrapers were and will always be beautiful.

Your wrong opinion is basically the opposite of most people, especially New Yorkers. New Yorkers didn't like them in the 70s and thought they were bland and boring. They grew on people and by 2000 people liked them.

Are you mildly retarded, or is the condition more severe?

When I went back to NYC in December of 2016, before my flight, I was at my parents house and looking at old photos from previous trips and from 1999, we were at the Statue of Liberty and got someone to take our photo with the Twin Towers in the background ..

It’s a reallly eerie photo to me .

No. If they wouldn't have been there, you could pick out any other building and said the same thing.

No skyline is built for aesthetics because it isn't the decision of one person.

We should have rebuilt them exactly as they were.

For some reason what catches my eye is how big those glass domes/roofs are in the smaller but still huge buildings next to it.

No but architects definitely do take into consideration the surrounding buildings and how theirs affects the aesthetics. It’s an evolving process made from many different minds but to say no thought is given to it is wrong. Many times the community weighs in beforehand as well.
