Once upon a time rasslin was broadcast from a TV studio in a small market town like Shreveport or Tulsa. The interviewer was a part time weatherman who also did pest control commercials.

Those were good days.

I can't remember if it was Bruce or Corny who told a great story about that angle/day on their podcast. I think it was Bruce.

The cemetery was open that day, with real families in attendance. Up till then, it was the WWF's go-to cemetery for vignettes.

They were banned after this, though.

used to go to those shows in jhs, they had bleachers on two sides of the ring, they would film a few matches for an episode then make everyone switch bleachers to film the next week's show, we had a blast trying to egg on those guys to cuss us out or body slam us

If you ever take a trip down to Cobb County, Georgia.
You better read the signs
Respect the law and order.
You'll serve hard times.
You'll be serving hard times.
You know the Big Boss Man will make you walk the line.
You better watch out boy or you'll be serving hard time.
He carries a big stick, a ball and chain too.
If you're looking for trouble he'll be coming after you.
You'll serve hard times.
You'll be serving hard times.
You know the Big Boss Man will make you walk the line.
You better watch out boy or you'll be serving hard time.

They weren't. But they did it anyway, and Vince wrote them a check later.
