Someone settle a bet. Could Jesus shoot fire and/or lightning from his hands?

I say yes. God’s his dad, so he’d have some of the same powers.

Fire because of the burning bush.
Lightning because there are several instances of him writing on walls.

What do the scholars of the OT say? We know he had the power of flight and also regeneration

Mmm...Read some ecclesiology. Christians really need to be part of the visible church, and under biblical discipline. They should want it.

Jesus has the power to change your heart, so I’d imagine shooting fire to be a small task.

Umm... it's in the Bible.

Now... Pre vs. Mid vs Post Trib... that's a different story.

I’m currently agnostic on the issue, but there are great theologians who don’t hold to no tribulation at all, no millennial reign, etc.

It’s all about hermeneutic. I’m just glad it’s a peripheral issue. It doesn’t matter for our salvation.

If there is one thing that Christians love, it is to be persecuted.

You think Satan is happy about all this?

With the lock-down and social distancing, very few people are getting involved with the real actual sins anymore.

Hell's recruiting is taking the biggest hit it's ever seen in ages right now. It's getting so bad, I heard Baalzebubba was considering sending a legion of Pit-Fiends to help support the vaccine research initiatives.

Friends in low, infernal places indicate COVID-19 is a once per generation crisis for them as well.

This is a victory for satan? Seems like the faith isn’t very strong. Shouldn’t the message be that Christians are so deep in prayer, reading the Bible, streaming services, faith, unity, other forms of service and ways of connecting, that despite these trying times, Satan has never been beaten back so hard? That the power of your faith is what grants you the strength during this pandemic.

I am agnostic, so I don’t care. It just seems like the opposite mindset one should be striving for currently, especially pertaining for religion, but in general as well.

Now here’s a real humdinger. Could he shoot lasers, even though lasers weren’t invented yet

Would you be willing to engage me via email?

I’m in an Apologetics course and need to turn in a conversation with a non believer.
