Once again you are wrong and mentally deficient.

You liked it? I was gonna go in a different direction but got to the end and the “no nicks” joke was just too good to pass up.
We may disagree but my point is that a good commercial should make people laugh, regardless of their political bent. They should look back and say, “that was worth the minute. That’s a good product and they are good natured about it. They sell razors. Good razors. For men and women. Maybe i’ll Buy one.”
You aren’t going to piss of anyone but hardcore idiots and gumps with something like that.
And even if we disagree politically, we can both hate bama.

quote:It's paranoid to look beyond the profit motive of an advertisement to try to find things to be offended about. It's a commercial, take it at face value. You're looking beyond the commercial, beyond the company, beyond the company's execs, and beyond the ad agency hired by the company to the political and social leanings of the people employed by the ad agency. And while, yes, those are the people who conceived of and produced the commercial, there are a lot of layers that it has filtered through, and every layer knows that it is an advertisement, and ads live forever. And that their purpose is to make money.
How is that being paranoid? It's recognizing human nature.
quote:It may seem that way on the surface, but if you'd look as deep into the comment as you do commercials, you'd see that it directly contradicts your suggestion that this ad won't have a direct financial benefit.
OK. That's kind of a non-sequitur in relation to my statement, but fine.

quote:If you call me sensitive again I might cry!
Again, overly sensitive and naive.
quote:I'm not ignorant at all to that fact. It is so often true that those who do the most crying about shite are the most easily persuaded. I do my best to help people realize when they are being manipulated, but it is usually ineffective. They get so worked up when they feel attacked that they just won't listen when I tell them that it's going to be ok. That you don't have to listen to those meanies on the TV. You can change the channel.
Are you really that ignorant in respect of the role of media (all forms of it) in shaping human behavior and mores?
quote:Did I ever say there wasn't a message? Messages are memorable, and memorable is quite a good attribute of a commercial.
So, you admit that there is messaging. Good.

Blah blah blah blah is the only thing I see when I read your shitty posts
Here’s an idea: save all the fricking dramatic political BS. Tell us about your razors. What are they made of? How do they perform? How long will they last?
Save all the politically motivated SJW messages for other shite. If you’re selling a product, sell me your product. Not your personal beliefs
That’s what people are sick of

The fact that your son is not a violent a-hole is already understood. That’s been the civilized Western standard your whole life. Now good luck raising him in a society where women are encouraged to be insufferable bitches who hate masculinity and presume they need to “ reform “ men of their true nature.
Your son would be more fortunate to also understand that he is the catch, that his natural state is to have sex with many different hot chicks and that hypergamous females are lined up to steal his time, labor and money for their purposes. Which are RARELY in his best interest . Raise him to be an ALPHA, not a doormat for mediocre women who gets his manhood tips from commercials devised by advertising agency twinks.

Forget the "message" this ad was sanctimonious and preachy coming from a company that has a seriously questionable record on social issues. This is akin to your neighbor with garbage strewn all over their yard, 4 broken down trucks and a meth lab in the backyard coming over to your house to complain that your Xmas lights are still up. This campaign was insulting on so many levels. Everyone involved should be fired and never work in advertising again.
