One of the preeminent architects of the last half of the 20th Century.
Born in Canton, China in ‘17, studies at Penn, MIT, & Harvard.
Married in ‘42, stayed married until she died in ‘14. (That’s 72 years for our Arky friends)
Most (in)famous project? The new entrance to the Louvre;

The french felt the same way about the Eiffel tower, until visitors from all over the world came to visit it and loved it.

His name has to be one of the most widely used crossword clues ever.

Not to be mean, but who gives a shite what the French think or have to say.

He also designed the Meyerson Center (DSO's home) and another building or two in Dallas.

it's one of the most famous/photographed landmarks in Paris

You can criticize it all you want, it's absolutely an icon of Paris at this point. I bet the number of people who go to take a photo of the pyramid and don't go to the museum is depressingly high, actually.
