One of the preeminent architects of the last half of the 20th Century.

Born in Canton, China in ‘17, studies at Penn, MIT, & Harvard.

Married in ‘42, stayed married until she died in ‘14. (That’s 72 years for our Arky friends)

Most (in)famous project? The new entrance to the Louvre;

The french felt the same way about the Eiffel tower, until visitors from all over the world came to visit it and loved it.

And yet, no one is traveling to Paris to see the glass pyramid outside of the Louvre.

it's one of the most famous/photographed landmarks in Paris

Because it's planted right outside one of the most famous museums on the planet. People are there to see the Louvre, not the glass pyramid.

You can criticize it all you want, it's absolutely an icon of Paris at this point. I bet the number of people who go to take a photo of the pyramid and don't go to the museum is depressingly high, actually.

I will, and I disagree. I took a picture of the glass pyramid and didn't go into the Louvre because the line was outrageous.
