re: I’m old?: That was the first SB halftime show that I had never heard any of the songs.

That's because "they not like us."

Worst halftime show I’ve seen in a long time

22 year old white girls love it.

Outside of his drake diss it was a horribly designed and performed set.
Feels like way too many of these Super Bowl shows have a few good moments and a lot meh.

Halftime shows have been terrible since Prince. It's like the NFL hates white people.

Not sure why any white person supports the NFL. They hate you. College football is getting there as well.

Same, and it was horrible.

I've never heard KL until tonight, but he's dog shite compared to the OGs. That's just the facts. These new rap artist are garbage.
Kendrick Lamar is near 40 and has been rapping since 2003. He blew up around 2011-2012.
He's not new.
He's one of the most critically acclaimed hip-hop artists to ever live.

Not my musical choice, but reading around it seems he is the biggest music act around.
Might be an act, definitely not music though.

Whelp. I’ll take Tupac, Snoop, Dre, Eminem, DMX, Cube, Ice T, etc over “critically Acclaimed”.
The show was not good.

I couldn't even understand any of the words

I’ll never understand rap fueds or diss tracks or people’s fascination with them. And it’s extremely cringey when people take a vague line that could mean anything at all but likely means nothing and makes up all sorts of stuff about how it’s a diss, and how it’s a reply from some other song which is a reply from some other song - all of which are vague and mean nothing. Part of LARPing culture that’s taken root in America I guess

He was shite in 2012 and he’s still shite today. No flow and just raps angrily over the beats.
All the rappers to choose from and that’s who they chose.

I knew most of those songs and I actually like
KL as a rapper. That was not a good performance

The thing you're misunderstanding is that Kendrick is in that group by all counts of everyone who is in that group. Ask Eminem his top 5 rappers and Kendrick will likely be in there. Same for Snoop, Dre, etc.
It's okay to not know a music genre, but saying that Kendrick Lamar is trash (as many people in here are saying) is about the equivalent of liking Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, and Garth Brooks and then calling George Strait trash.
That's fine for you to think that, but you should know that your take is out on Saturn.

the mix was bad, they needed to turn up his mic
No matter how many times this is pointed out, they still melt

I don't know any of his songs, either, and it started out OK (other than audio issues) but literally had no reset, theme change, or guest appearances. The whole performance aspect got stale pretty quickly because of this and that is what made it bad (again, along with the sound mixing issues).
