Every morning this week when I let my dog out, he goes lay out in the grass and I have force him to come back inside. Apparently he loves this weather but I keep seeing Karen on facebook say he’ll die if he stayed out.

Doesn't mean it wants to spend all night outside. Dumbass.

I have small inside dogs now, but our first dogs were German Shepherds. They were outside dogs and loved the snow. I did build them a decent size, but not too big dog house with the opening shielded from the wind, and they seemed quite content with it. Would often find them just laying in the snow getting snowed on.

Some dogs are different than others.

By having their own dens or sheltering behind some form of wind-break and sharing warmth as a pack.

But its not dangerous, as the neighborhood busybodies believe Some dogs thrive in cold.

Plan on ripping it out and installing some wood floors in the single wide once we get our tax refund.

Do you know that’s it’s not good to keep chickens warm as winter approaches. They don’t grow the feathers they need to survive without a heat source. Power goes out for an ice storm and they will die. Congratulations dumbass.

I watched a little documentary on winter in the middle ages the other night, and apparently they brought them inside a lot.

Not just for the animals, but because the animals also gave off extra body heat to keep the people warm too.

It’s -4 where I am, stop being a flintstones. Dog kicks it outside all day while I’m at work at my house barking at moose and let’s me know when the kids are walking up the drive way.

Our dog has an outdoor house with a heat light in it, but it's been too cold these last couple of nights, so she's been sleeping in the laundry room.
