would you choose within reasonable driving distance?

Update: my work location would be Broussard but I would like to be within striking distance of Lafayette when I feel like heading in there.

Probably Walnut Creek or Orinda. Not too far from SF/Oakland if you have to commute.

Maurice is a nice place. Their elementary and high schools are A schools.

Why not just live within the city? It doesn’t suffer from the problems of its other Louisiana counterparts.

I grew up in Youngsville so I am biased
Probably Milton though, less traffic, the same HS as Youngsville, nice community, access to Lafayette via several routes

East Texas is reasonable and probably your best option.
