Social media marketing for small to mid size business. Charge about $1000/month to manage IG, facebook, and twitter accounts.

Hell, you need a million to open a Subway

You don't own the franchise like a Subway. It costs $10k to open a Chik-Fil-A. It is really difficult to get selected for a Chik-Fil-A franchise though.

No. It costs $10K for the initial franchise fee. You are crazy if you think you can get one of these up & running on just $10K

Then you're not serious about making money.

On to the next thread..

Really? Do they live in a small town? In Atlanta there are so many dog walkers they have to work for dirt cheap. Those dog walking apps are slammed with people.

They pay for the land, building, equipment, etc. For 10k you get to be the manager and work 70 hours/week. Chick Fil A also takes 15% off the top for land, building, equipment, and then 50% of the profit. You would be lucky to make 100k and would kill yourself doing it

I'd seriously consider buying a silk screen machine and a embroidery machine. Start making shirts and hats and pumping them out. I paid a shite ton the other day for some shirts. If you have the drive and aren't to good to sling shirts and hats until you can get a brick and mortar establishment, I think there is some real money in it. With all the festivals and sporting events around, all it would take is some witty/catchy one liner shirts. Then if you stick with it and get your initial investment back, then you can move into some other kinda business. Provide a service that everyone wants, do it right and see where that takes you.

They make 275 dollars a day (if they work 365 days a year)?

No expert on this but I think they pay for everything if you get a franchise. They also take something close to 60% of gross.

Getting selected is the hard part.

$50k? I'd open up a snowball stand and sell fireworks from that location for Christmas/New Years and the 4th of July.

With fireworks, you can pay off everything in July and in December that is all profit.

You can make a profit around $18k-$25k with the snowball stand (from the end of April - labor day weekend). You can have it all paid for it 3 years, possibly less if you use your fireworks profits.

You can drive a school bus, that way you will have health insurance and it would bring in some extra money as well. If you don't live high off the horse and save & invest your money, you can turn that $50k into a pretty good amount in 10 years.

Agreed.. people who even think this is a possibility, must be the type of people who’ve never had more than $500 saved in their lives, and thinks anyone who has $50k is “rich.”

This is a good idea as well. As long as OP can cook. I have a buddy that originally went in with a friend on a truck. They both could cook and both worked their butts off but it just wasn't enough money for a duel owner. He bought out the other partner and now he is killing it. He is looking for a brick and mortar est. now.
