Still seems affordable to me. Maybe you shouldn’t go on vacation and instead invest some of your “spendin” money until you are no longer poor.

They just keep building more stuff here. The traffic is out of control.

I chuckle in your general direction....from Ibiza

quote:I wouldn't say that. Once you get east of Destin the worst spot is the Seaside drag. Once you get east of Seaside all the way to Rosemary it's not bad. Most times we can get from rosemary to Grayton in 15 minutes or less. Now Destin, oh yeah. That's congestion for sure. We try to stay away from that mess

It's a state highway down on the Florida coast. It's right on the beach. Rich folks are buying everything up. Poor people are getting pushed out. Way to much traffic on that road.
Welcome to the other side of gentrification.

I’m heading down there in a few weeks. You need me to frick up some old lawyers since you can’t afford to go?

Oh so now gentrification is a bad thing.

Lets not get carried away, its still NW Florida. Malibu, Montecito, Marthas Vineyard, Hamptons, etc make the 30A "Jet Set" crowd look like poors.

Oh for sure, ya'll remember back in 2006 when 30A was a middle class community filled with affordable housing everywhere?
Me either. What the frick are you talking about?

If you're looking for something quieter and less congested, Navarre is a good option. Typical Emerald Coast sand and water and there's some good food options both east and west of there

The over leveraged striver to actually wealthy ratio at Pearl/La Crema is like 100:1. It's really not that impressive at all. You'll see more legit wealth at a reasonably high end restaurant in Atlanta or Dallas on a Thursday night.

quote:eh. If you can afford a multimillion-dollar lot with a double-digit million dollar vacation home, those are Malibu type numbers. Median home price in Malibu is around $6mil and that's their primary residence. Have you been to alys beach? You know about the Hilton house right?

My favorite area on the whole highway. Really nice pool too.

Why do you know so much about a vacation spot?
