If you want to know why no one can afford 30A anymore
Posted by superwolf on 7/1/19 at 3:25 am6107
Is bc these good ole southern rich lawyers have made it unaffordable. Michael Moore is a facking fraud. And so is that fracking tool Burton LeBlanc. I would piss on those 2 Gulf Coast people that talk w a southern accents. They are sick.
Bring it back. 30A is so yesterday. We go elsewhere now. Seaside, Grayton have been taken over by rich southerners. Mostly lawyers and doctors. Typical convo. Oh, you want to Alabama? My Daughter is a Chi O there from Mountain Brook.

It's a state highway down on the Florida coast. It's right on the beach. Rich folks are buying everything up. Poor people are getting pushed out. Way to much traffic on that road.
Hmmm. Sounds like the same thing that happened to the more coveted areas of Hawaii. Your typical Native Hawaiian lives in Las Vegas now.

How are poor people being “pushed out?”
To be pushed out implies you own something there. If someone is poor and had property there then they definitely are not poor.

There's no doubt that there's some insane wealth there. We were just there a couple of months ago and one of the houses for sale at Rosemary was $11.5mil. Last year when we were there, one of the lots at alys beach was $6.7mil. If you really want to observe the jet-set, hangout at night at the Pearl and La Crema. Those people are operating with a different set of zeros from me.
Having said that, there are affordable things to do on 30A.

"Poor" is a relative term... Most of the "old" owners have been bought out and the prices on 30A have skyrocketed over the last few years... Property taxes have as well...
It is what it is but if the property is decent, it can easily be rented to cover the cost of ownership, plus by a long margin...

Is that related to those stickers on the douche corporate guys' wives' Mercedes SUVs?
Yes, they think it signals some type of status to have those stickers on the car their husbands paid for.
