I guess this problem is better than
3I/Atlas being aliens and arriving in March 2026 like you said last year. Whatever happened to that?

Furthermore it was very familiar to the Jews of the period around the time of Jesus, and Jesus himself quoted from it.

Incorrect, Jesus never quotes the book of Enoch. Jude, his half brother does.

Most of these things are known, and were improved on... No one was trying to erase it, people just moved on after the changes.
They also use to advertise that smoking was healthy for you, they gave us an antiseptic that contained mercury, there was cocaine in the original coke. Factories and farms used child labor back in the day, and the food industry was not very clean. Thank goodness we all learned from our mistakes.

and no shite about the fat thing, pretty common knowledge.

I could go on...

The book of Enoch isn’t cannon for many reasons. At least one of which being that it’s attributed to Enoch but was written hundreds of years after his death.

True but Enoch is mentioned several times in the Bible, both in the OT and NT.

I will quote just a couple:

quote:

Genesis 5:18 "Now Jared lived 162 years, and fathered Enoch."

Hebrews 11:5 “By faith Enoch was taken from this life, so that he did not experience death: ‘He could not be found, because God had taken him away.’

The video stated the book was taken out of the Bible, not that mentions of Enoch were taken out of the Bible.

The video is the OP is AI slop that is opinionated half truths.

Looks like da catlicks watched the first 30 seconds, clicked it off and downvoted.

The psychotic corporate practices of the 20th century are indeed a major factor in our currently ruined society. They forgot to mention 'planned obsolescence' though. The effects of that cannot be understated.

If you had ended that with saying the Freemasons choose the president, I'd swear you were one of my facebook friends that went off the deep end and spends his days posting crap like you just did.

All those people at Jonestown died horrible deaths bc they believed what Jim Jones preached. Is that compelling?

Now that’s just stupid. You are comparing Jim Jones to Jesus? That’s why we should always keep our eyes on Him and His word. Jim Jones openly took the place of Jesus and made himself God. If you stay in Gods word you would pick up on the lies and hypocrisy that he started preaching. It’s the same with your pastor/ priest. If what he says doesn’t line up with scripture, you need to question it through the right channels.

The “gospels” you refer to were not verified to be actually written by these people. The leaders of the early church. Texts such as the Gospel of Thomas, written much later (most scholars date it to the mid- to late-2nd century), failed on these criteria. There is little evidence it was composed by the apostle Thomas or supervised by one of the apostles, and it conflicts theologically with the four canonical Gospels.

Lots of prophets out there: Jesus, Mohammed, Buddha, Joseph Smith, Hare Krishna, L Ron Hubbard. They all have sincere followers. Not sure why you think yours is the best, but many have died for all of the others too.

From a Christian perspective ( IDK what your view is), we can’t just say it’s just some random writings like Homer as it’s referenced in the St. Jude and even in one of St. Peter’s Epistles.

Enoch has 3 sections. The first is likely what is mentioned in the Book of Jude. It is not endorsed there, only mentioned and not in a glowing manner.
The contents of the other two are clearly later and in different literary styles.
None of it is all that compelling when compared with real Scripture.
