If there are truly no customers, you don’t stay open.

The cause of your closure isn’t because the government explicitly told you to close.

Nevermind. Now I get it. JBE didn't close any businesses. He told them all they could remain open, but were forbidden to serve customers.

You really are a moron.

No. The government told you your customers couldn’t shop there.

There is no doubt he works for the state in some way. Thinks just like a bunch of those idiots.

Which, I would presume, makes a big difference with regard to future lawsuits - hence the ambiguity.

I have owned multiple businesses during my lifetime and my bank always gave me a line of credit(usually at least a $100k), so I dont understand why all these business owners are claiming they will go under. Frankly, if you cant withstand a bad quarter you probably shouldnt be in business. Most businesses go under within 5 years and its ridiculous the govt is throwing money to people whose businesses would have likely gone under regardless.

This convo started because business owners supposedly didn’t understand the rules of being open vs being closed.

That's just what your stupid arse boss said.

Actually had u read the original order it stated very clearly that it wasn’t just essentials who could be open.
Please explain the effect of the subsequent EO's on the original.

Right, they explicitly told your customers to stay home. Jesus, thanks for the confirmation that we have absolute retards running things right now.

Normally, I'd agree with you here. However, there is an important fact you've omitted. The virus didn't shut anything down. The gov't did. They can't forcibly close businesses for the "greater good" of the public without some recourse. The real issue is the manner in which they delivered the aid. They fricked a bunch of people in doing so (typical).

$100k line of credit? You think that is going to save some of these businesses? What kind of businesses did you own...a snowball stand and a coffee shop?

I mean sure. Technically the business could be open. But not have customers...or only those willing to violate the EO.

I got another one of those recorded calls from JBE telling me to stay at home and only go to the grocery once a week etc.... So, yeah, businesses could be open, but he's telling potential customers to stay home.

This kind of stuff pisses me off to no end. And he has a little lap dog in this thread trying to defend it.
