If I knew I couldn’t get arrested?

I’d take the forklift. Drive it right into my bosses truck and drop it into the bayou.

Oh so you are one of "those" people. The "I never have used my sick time" people.

Newsflash....everyone else in your office secretly doesn't like you. People sometimes get sick. Their kids get sick and they have to stay home to care for them. Their parents get put in the hospital and they have to help out. That is what sick days are for.

I never called in until I had kids. Those things are like walking talking buckets of disease. I absolutely do use my sick days now.

I’d go clear off my desk and copy over info I would need for my next job. Then, when they can you, it’s not awkward. You already cleared your stuff out. Just say thanks and walk out.

Does the company have a policy in writing that says you must have a doctor’s note for any time off for illness? Were you given a copy of this policy? If so, well, you picked a stupid place to work for. Companies that have no respect for others needs are not worth working for.
