I've been working for a company for almost five years and I'm most likely getting canned on Monday. I'm one of their best workers but companies are famous for letting the good ones go and the bad ones promoted lol. This company gives you three strikes and I had two.....this recent one was very controversial. I didn't have a sick note..a damn sick note. Granted I wasn't dying sick but that's petty shite. I'm not worried financially I'm just fricking pissed. Almost as bad as the petty reasons people get banned here.

Tell them you've been bad but willing to do better. If not, shite on the desk before you leave.

Or do the Jerry Maguire routine and take somebody with you...

We can’t help you until you tell us what the first two strikes were.

And this place seriously sounds like a fast food joint

Tell them you are struggling with your gender identity and that firing you will be an ethics violation.

I’m assuming the “lol” at the end of your sentence means you don’t believe this line of bs. The only time I’ve had a sick day in the last 20 years was when I had a lithotripsy procedure done for kidney stones. Missed half a day.

Depends...do I need a reference from there?

If yes...something petty like throwing out everyone's food in the fridge before lunch.

The fact that you need a sick note to use your sick days(assuming you get them) is reason enough to leave.

Type up a resignation letter to whip out before firing. Kinda steals their thunder.

Put in there you are more than happy for this to be your two week notice.

State in there that you’ve enjoyed working with some great people there but the company’s onerous policies are not suitable for employees that are always striving to be better. And you are leaving for an employer that will help further your personal growth and development.

Belittle them in a backhanded way.

If it doesn’t happen Monday, keep reprinting the letter with the current date so it’s completely up to date.

If there would be severance pay or the desire to draw unemployment, this may not make short term financial sense however on future job applications, you can truthfully answer you were not fired from your last job.

"I'm one of their best workers but companies are famous for letting the good ones go"

Yes, companies are really stupid. It doesn't make sense to fire the best workers, but if you talk to people about to be fired they are always one of the best workers. It's strange.
