I have buck shot law enforcement rounds. Pretty sure any 12 gauge will do catastrophic damage up close.

My house 12 gauge is loaded with number 8 bird shot. Will still be devastating up close but not as much risk of going through walls and such.

I have mine loaded with No. 4 Buck, its 27 pellets flying at 1350 FPS..
5 rounds of 4B Will stop any animal in Louisiana at close range but wont do much damage beyond a typical house wall.

I've got a Remington 870 with a Wilson combat tube extension. I keep it loaded with cheap 00 buckshot.

That looks like absolute shite IMO. You can clearly see in the gel that the jacketing has lodged within the first ~2 inches of gel and released small fragments that penetrate ~10 inches at best.
The fragments look smaller and lighter than 00/000 buckshot which is going to problematic for penetration in the real world.
On top of that though is the fact that the design of the jacketing combined with the poor penetration of the jacket is a good indication that it would fail to expand in real world use. This is commonly seen with gimmick round design for pistol hollow points that are designed to produce "impressive" gel reaction but suffer from jacket/core separation or failure to expand in the real world.
Note that the point of expansion isn't to make a larger wound channel. The difference between a .38/.40/.45 diameter bullet expanding to .65-.70 is typically insignificant in real world fatal injury. The usefulness of expansion is in creating consistent and straight internal wound pathways. 230gr .45 ball ammo historically had a reputation for outperforming 9mm ball for that reason. It wasn't the diameter but rather the combined effects of heavy and slow producing straight and consistent wound channels compared to small and fast producing erratic results.
Buckshot and slugs would both outperform this round in all applications IMO.
