My grandpa told me they used to score the cardboard shotgun shells close to the brass so that it would year and the entire cardboard cylinder would keep the buckshot together like a giant slug.

I gotta laugh when people talk about using a shotgun for home defense. It better be an SBR or you're going to be swinging 3 feet of gun in a situation where most encounters are within 2-5 feet.
