If you had to start over, with only a HS diploma and could only work at Mc Donald's....

How far would you get in four or five years?
You can't use your college degree or your masters or PhD. Only your high school diploma and McDonald's, based on your work ethic and value-added services, How far do you believe you would go in a few years? Lead fry cook, assistant manager, what?

they'd be changing the companies name from McDonalds to Storeys in a week.

It was very unfair of me to say Coyote starts the worst threads

As it stands now, I could make area mgr in 5 years.

I would take a loan to go to college or trade school because I’m not going to have a fricking career at McDonalds.

At 46 and retired as I am now, I wouldn't last 2 hours before they fired me.

Probably would be a manager of some sort but only make like 34k a year

I reject the premise that I can only work at McDonalds.

What if I am in an area without a McDonald's? Am I just out of luck?

After some experience, I'd leave McDonald's for In-N-Out. I'd move up quickly into management. They have a very decent pay scale.

I laughed but felt sorry about it afterwards

Considering that McDonalds pays about half your tuition to LSU if you work 20+ hrs a week, I'd imagine I'd have my ISDS degree from LSU in about 5 years while working the lowest position I could. I'd take student loans for the balance.

Is time travel involved? If so I’d happily flip burgers for a few years, live with my parents and save up, and on January 3rd 2009 buy as many Bitcoins as I personally could even taking a loan from my Dad. So, yeah if time travel is involved, that’d be easy.

You’d be a fool then. The reason Ray Kroc royally fricked over the McDonald Bros rather than forming his own restaurant was he wanted that name for his restaurant. It’s a brilliant name for a hamburger chain.

One of my favorite old Dave Attell jokes.

Says 50k/year at the store level, I heard that District, Area, Regional, etc... managers make 6 figures. Not sure if HS diploma is a barrier.
