If I had enough money to not worry about money now and in the future, yes I would quit my job.

Minimum wage is like 1100 a month. Sorry, but that's not gonna cut it even with no bills.

No, because if I'm not acquiring new debt, I'm likely also not generating new revenue

Fudge no. I'd continue to work and save up as much as I can and make sure I don't get myself back into any unneeded debt.

I would continue in my current position until I found something else to do that I enjoy.

Cool so I've paid off my car.

How do I pay for my phone, cable, food, etc on no salary?

This is the OT. Nobody here has debt. F-250's, houses in gated neighborhoods with HOA's, and yachts all paid in straight cash homey.

No, I'm there now. But I'm way too young and have a lot more money to make and kids to raise.

Even if you pay off the large items, working a minimum wage job is going to let you do exactly what you describe, go home everyday not stressed out. Unfortunately that is ALL you will do.

So I'll go out and make like $10k and year and you're saying I won't be stressed everyday just because the house I can't afford to repair is paid off?

Not to mention property taxes.
