$5000 for a suite ticket that is. I'd throw a bad arse party

If my only two options are a party and the natty and I have to choose one, I would choose the NC.

I'd throw the party.

Well, I'd spend half that on the party and pocket the rest.

I'd throw a really lame party. Then buy something I actually want.

I've been to enough national championships. Give me the party.

Why not bet 5k on the game and if you win, throw 2 bad arse parties?

Never enough. I would go every single year if we were in it every single year.

I’ll take the ticket,

I can throw a party on my own.

10 years ago, I'd have said the same thing. Unless I get to do some cool shite like meet some of the staff and players beforehand and afterwards, I'm over it. I'd rather watch it at home. Unless, of course, the game is in New Orleans. Then I'm down.

4 hour game = 240 minutes, so $5000/240 comes out to $20.83 a minute.....

I faced this decision when LSU was in the Sugar Bowl several (OK many) years ago when I was living in north LA.

I skipped the tickets and used the cash to buy a new (at that time) 55" LED rear projection TV and surround system. Ran me almost $4k for the setup. Had everyone to the house to watch the game and then had the TV moving forward.

I think I made the right call.

One of everything on the Taco Bell menu costs $218.72. So I'd rather do that 20 times or so.

At some point, it loses its luster. Success breeds ennui. 18 year old me would kick my arse for saying that, but it's true. There's a lot to be said for having momentary instances of great success, as opposed to just being relieved when it happens.

Just invest the $5,000 and use the returns to buy a hooker

A $5000 party is going to cost much more, after your house looks like The Hangover set.

I’d put $4900 in the bank and take my wife & kids out for pizza and ice cream with $100.
