I had a similar situation when I lived in Florida. Wife was scheduled to give birth to son #2 3 days after XLI. I regret not going for two big reasons. The D-Hes kick return to start the game and the Prince halftime show. In all fairness she did let me go (despite son #1 being an emergency birth 6 weeks early) and that trip will be in my memory in my final moments in this world.
You can buy shite anytime, you can't go back and buy the experience. It's why despite being hardly able to stand up straight I still keep my Bears season tickets and take each of them to a game every year. The 2020 season will bring teams 31 & 32 that I've seen in person. One of the first memories I'll sit back with my grandpa and reminisce about is him taking me to my first NFL game, Walter's last at Lambeau. Again, do you want to throw a party that you'll barely remember the next morning or be there to watch Clemson make history at 30-0?
