Not because of any blind faith in a 2000 year old story but because I try to be a good human to other humans. I haven’t raped or killed anyone so I should be ok.

We are all sinners.No one has been perfect,including Jesus.
Each day on this board we stand in judgement over another,which is a sin,whether in word or thought.
I've had very religious guys bum a beer from me on the golf course and poor it in to an empty Coke can to hide it from everyone.What I found stupid is that he can't hide it from the One that matters.
Our discussion is with the Man upstairs,what the other hypocrites on earth think is irrelevant.
Forgiveness is there for the asking,we need alot of asking these days.

Please explain how Jesus wasn’t perfect? He had to lead a sinless life on earth or the sacrifice of him on the cross wouldn’t have mattered.
And I’ve had it explained to me that God is all about giving every person free will. For those that choose not to believe in Him, they get to go to hell, which simply means to live in eternity without God. It is their choice, not some sort of punishment.
