don’t understand why it’s still illegal in the majority of states in this country. It’s not as bad as any kind of tobacco and is honestly safer than drinking alcohol. I also think the majority of people on the left and right both agree that it should be legal? How is it still illegal and we never see it on our ballots

Pharmaceutical lobby
Police lobby
Far Right Evangelicals
A misinformed populace who blames the drugs for societal ills instead of actual causes (poverty, bad parenting, limited job opportunities, bad schools, etc)

No, I'd start waking up early morning and workout/run for a few hours and eat right.

Bad example. The illegal immigrant problem is way more important than legalizing weed to a much larger segment of the population.

Heck CO seasonal employers are having more and more trouble finding dependable employees. COs economic effect was a bump at first until states around it started doing it too.
Other than NV, what states "around" CO have even legalized? CA and OR are about as close to CO as IL is to NJ and WA legalized at the same time (technically before) CO.

I has helped a ton with my insomnia.

You don’t even have to smoke. The CBD oil, which produces no high, is great for curing sleep issues.

It's amazing to me where we are right now with medications. Seems all anyone wants to do is take a pill for this or that. My kids are the same way. Forget healthy living and exercise! Give me a sleeping pill.....

I do this, and still use medicine to help me fall asleep at night.

Yes. Knocks the edge off the Adderall at 2:00 AM.

If Adderall keeps you up past 2am:
A.) you have way too strong of a dosage
B.) are taking it way too late in the day
C.) dont really have ADD, hence why you are so wide eyed and need MJ to “knock the edge off”.

For those that actually have ADD, and as someone who is prescribed adderall, I can tell you that the medicine has a totally different effect on me than someone who uses it recreationally. If you do in fact have ADD and it just keeps you up late, then you might need to lower you dosage. Many years ago my dr prescribed 30mg XR and I couldnt go to sleep for shite. We went back to the 20mg XR and it was night and day difference in being able to fall asleep at a normal time.

Exactly.
Most people DGAF about the War on Drugs, prison populations, 'freedom, man', or medical benefits. No great moral reason.
They just want to smoke legally.

I'm an unapologetic daily smoker. I just like to get high.

Eh. I care that right now the highest incarceration rates in the country belong to drug users/dealers while we have violent criminals getting off with less time because of overcrowding. And that legalization would likely put a significant dent in the opioid epidemic killing my fellow Kentuckians.

Being able to actually partake legally without losing my job is a small benefit when I think of it that way. Hangovers suck after 30.
