Key West

Maybe not Key West exactly but anywhere between Key Largo and Key West would work for me with access to a launch and dock.

My ideal retirement goal is own a small ranch in Wyoming or Montana and a beach house in Key West. Spend winters in Florida, summer in Montana

The southern Appalacians are nice. Anywhere between Birmingham to the Cumberland Gap.

if employment was not an issue, hands down the Jasper Arkansas area.

Same with Townsend/Gatlinburg area. A decent job market barely exists.

I'd move out of Seattle proper to the burbs if I didn't have to be close to my job. Definitely somewhere in the PNW

Much of the West would be out because of its water shortages.

I prefer 4 seasons so that makes a lot of the deep South out.

Maybe a Maine coastal town, Vermont, New Hampshire, or western North Carolina

Either the Wyoming or Idaho side of the Grand Tetons. No way I could ever afford that.

Realistically, I'd love to retire in the Shoals area of Alabama.
