My late grandfather.
He seemed a simple man. Never more than an eighth grade education. Worked as a gauger.
But he was unfailingly kind. He woke his wife up every morning for 56 years with a cup of coffee. There was wisdom there. More than I can ever hope to accrue.
I would love to share a few bottles of wine with him at ruffinos (his favorite restaurant later in life). Though if I'm being honest, I might spend the entire time crying like a child.
