If we’re talking dream job without considering salary I wish I would’ve majored in English instead of STEM. Reading and writing are my only true hobbies but like you I was good at math, physics, etc.

There are certainly benefits to being an English teacher. But I really hate not having a specific content to teach. I could have a lot of fun teaching science, doing experiments and demonstrations, and being part of research. Though I imagine the demands of such a job are overwhelming and tedious.

I’ve been able to focus how I teach English through the lens of rhetoric of science. We do some science-y reading and writing, but it’s limited due to the interests of my department (talking middle school here). But I’m a skills based teacher when I’d rather be a content-area expert.

Every year in conjunction with Breast Cancer Awareness Month Dillard's department stores host events at which women can consult their "Expert Bra Fitters". If only my high school guidance counselor had mentioned that possibility...

I've enjoyed doing a little bit of a lot of things though. I've written several publications, taught graduate school classes, been a speaker at large conferences, expert scuba diver, flown an airplane, multi-sport athlete, published photographs and won photo and art contests. Now I might like to be a "stylist" to women movie stars, picking out the Valentino gown and shoes to dress them for the Academy Awards. Or a HAMU artist or fashion show director. And not gay at all.

Have a degree in Econ. Seems like Computer Science or ISDS would have been a better move.

Community organizer, but in someplace cool like Dunwoody.

I'd hang around with all the chicks in baby blue sweaters and pearl necklaces figuring out how to turn the bums into soap or whatever.

I'm retired but if I were a young enterprising fella, I would be a certified mobile RV technician.

Industrial engineer...IOT integration is the shite.

Buddy of my is one and almost has a patent on touchscreen portable growrooms 20 years ago. He smoked too much to focus on bringing it to market, otherwise would have made OT FU money.

Pan handler. Set my own hours, no taxes, meet a lot of interesting people, fringe benefits like occasional titty flashes and good leftover meals.
