Mine would be better communication skills between us. I honestly believe that is why I don't have a relationship with my father now.

I wish my parents hadn't spoiled us and been so generous to our extended family. They'd have more money to do the things they want to now.

Thinking outside of the box...
I'd wish that as a child I could have had the same awareness that I have now at the age of 29.
I'd have been kinder to my brothers, enjoyed childhood even more, and savored every minute with my folks.
It's kind of a shame that at 29 at least half of my life was spent completely oblivious to its fleetingness. But that's just the way it works.

Honestly I may do it soon. Dad wasn't a bad dad but when the oilfield went bust in 1980's he moved away to support us. Never held that against him but our relationship never amounted to much because of it.

If I could go back and change one thing it would have to be to take the bullets out of the clip in that pistol she short him with. If those dam Glocks would misfire once and a while maybe he would be here today.

I grew up the same. Money was tight when I was growing up but I had a childhood and adolescence growing up in South Louisiana that I Wouldn't change except for my original topic.
