I’m assuming I’m wanted in the USA, so I’m getting out of there with a quickness. I would probably head for Eastern Europe where my technical skills could get me into a good position and I could maintain a fake ID.
Maybe I’d head up through Alaska, work as a fishing crew, and cross the Bering Straits in the summer. Then the long journey to the west. I’d have to figure out how to make a living enroute, but I know I could.

If Black, Baton Rouge. I'd blend right in.

As a completely law-abiding citizen, this is something I spend an unreasonable amount of time thinking about.
Disappearing with some time to plan vs doing it as a wanted fugitive with no money are completely different.
Makes for much less options.

I would immediately go to a vacuum shop and order a new dust filter for a Hoover Maxextract Pressurepro model 60

I would first try AOC’s apartment, telling her I am in the country illegally and need to be harbored to avoid deportation.
I like my chances and have skills to offer.

Yes. It’s much more difficult to do if you are breaking out of prison. If I just had to disappear as someone who hadn’t escaped from prison, even if I was still wanted by law enforcement I think I could figure something out. But I’d have access to cash in that scenario where I would basically be starting from scratch as an escapee. You essentially have to have help from at least one person if you escape from prison.

And just how do you plan to survive the winter without getting something built that will require some kind of credentials (or loads of cash)?

You don’t need skills. She’d bang tiu repeatedly for being so brave and trying to find a better life.
Similar to that whacko nut chick on the poli board.

Alaska has long been a place for people running from something to hide, I suppose technology has made that a little more difficult

Skid row in L.A. or the tenderloin in SF. I think I could blend in with the homeless and get some free food. Cops won’t bother you too

I watched a youtube video about disappearing like this. Your best bet was a conservative city between 25-50k people. So Utah for me

Good try.
Are you gonna ask me where I would bury bodies next, rookie?

Live on the street in a major city. Avoid doing anything that gets your fingerprints or DNA taken. Shitty existence, but maybe it's better than living in a cell, IDK.
Wilderness is a no go for most people. Assuming you have the skills for it, you still have to come to town sometimes. A stranger sticks out among a few dozen people a lot more than among a few million.
