Some people blame social media. I don’t like to do that because it reminds me of the people who blame video games. All of the people who commit these atrocities have deep seeded issues that somehow came to the point of massacring people.

Are these unpredictable and spontaneous killings simply the price we have to pay to live in a free society?

malls. schools. bars.

all places where the law abiding cant carry.

wonder why they hit these places?

our law funnels these psychopaths towards soft targets, and idiots that dont know shite about guns or what is/isn't legal will call for bans.

we don't live in a free society, but the police state sure has a great marketing campaign to convince you that we do.

I've never shot one of those but it almost seems like it would melt the polymer to me.

Even with an auto sear it takes 400+ rounds to melt the polymer guide rod, with a metal guide rod you are up over 600 rounds in most testing to render a Glock unusable when it starts to melt the trigger.

Any place in which people amass is a soft target. Either provide security or allow people to carry. Even if you want them to have a CC license, just give them an option. No one attempts to shoot up a football game. Why? Because there’s a SWAT team on site.

Gotcha. I own a Glock but admittedly don't know shite about that.

allow people to carry

exactly. that's the point.

ppl that carry have to be aware when and where they can and can't be armed.

I dont believe in removing liberty and then selling it back in the form of a license.

carry. everyone that wants to, and everywhere they want.

eta: yeah I know that mass gatherings are soft targets, but putting "NO GUNS ALLOWED HERE" all over it is just a billboard for crazies that it'll be easy to kill people

You had the right idea in that the polymer is the weak point but even running them full auto (they can empty the 100rd drums in ~6 seconds) they still would be a viable weapon in close quarters arguably better than a AR or AK platform which was your original point in this or another thread. They are tough guns, even if they are plastic.

ETA this got me thinking about one of the meltdown tests I saw a while back, really interesting re Glocks and rapid fire abuse YOutube

Trump won’t pass a ban. That is a certified way to lose reelection.

Won’t pass it? He signed an executive order saying President Clinton and President Obama’s Administrations had previously allowed something under the 2nd Amendment to be legal that President Trump determined to be illegal. That was without a vote by Congress. President Clinton and President Obama protected certain 2nd Amend Rights and Takings Clause more than President Trump. He has no political choice. ARs are going to have to be turned over and you will not be paid for their return.

Not only that, the people that bought them legally for $500 were told to give them back and not given a nickel to return them, not even the taxes they paid for them. If you do not think ARs are next then you did not pay attention to Trump’s executive order. And when he makes you give them back without compensation for a legally purchased item then you will change your mind about his position on the 2nd Amend.

It's simply a list of rampage killings. That's it. It won't brainwash you. LINK

I don't see Sandy Hook on that list. Why did they leave that one out?

I think at the top of the article they said something about school shootings and offered a different link.

I'm not sure why they separated them.

Ban all weapons tomorrow and the only people left with them are criminals and the government. Remember neither of them care about laws or you, only power and money.
I’ll take my chances with the 2A in place as is thank you

The CNN link I posted includes a threshold of 4 killings or more, not 3.

The Mother Jones link said 4 but included incidents with 3.
