If every major city in America becomes pro open container then why would people keep coming to New Orleans? Louisiana tourism may get fricked by this.

You think people only come to NOLA for the open container laws?

Because the restaurants, live music, and history are unique?

Take my advice: pack up your cousin-wife and move to R-Kansas already.

New orleans should copyright it. Get paid a percentage of every drink sold.

The novelty of drinking and being wasted in the quarter is huge. That's why we came down from BR to FQ in college.

It's definitely a big draw. I don't think small money people visiting for MG go to restaurants. The good restaurants are what draws the conventions and those people on expense accounts are the ones enjoying the fine dining. The rest are getting hammered on Bourbon and eating Lucky Dogs.

If Catfish Town had open container, we never would've left BR.

If Texas ever gets into the casino game Lake Chuck, Nola and Shreveport are screwed. Our politicians already hurt them with sports betting and allowed Oklahoma and Mississippi to gain marketshare.

I wish Nola didn’t have the crime problems it has. It has so much potential.
