Are you implying that any celebrity that publicizes their charitable work does it to get their name in the news?
I am not saying that at all. There are a lot of guys who do good things and don't want the attention from doing so.
There are times when some people do good and it makes it to the news because them doing so brings attention to an issue.
But what organization is he trying to bring attention to? Will he inspire people from all over to go around giving people suits? And you don't think it has nothing to do with the fact no team has shown any interest in him since he was cut back in... what? February.. And he just so happens to do something to get into the news right after the NFL draft?

And you think clothing can do all that???
Like i said, how about find those people jobs, a home, counseling... a suit doesn't help any of those people with any of that... he's using those people situation for his own good
You're loving pointing out the negative side of this arnt you.
Who gives a frick what the motive behind it was or whether it was a publicity stunt. The dude did something nice. Quit bitching about it and saying he should have done more.
I dont see you going out there helping people find a job, counseling....etc.
Shut up you doosh.

There is that Too but do you not think he knows he put his career on the line by kneeling last year --- and he never backed down?
I think he's really about his causes -- and i support him and those causes. He just needs to play better at his day job

So just to stay relevant an out of work person is willing to give his money away to impress the people who hate him? Man y'all are truly a special bunch.
So thats what you got out of this quote?

On the free-agent quarterback’s website, kaepernick7.com, there is a running log of the donations he’s made.

I can see if he was picking up trash and reading to kids for photo ops, but he is giving away his money and may never play football again. Let that sink in.
He keeps a running log of what he donates on his media website. now tell me what is the reasoning for this?

Clean up his image? what did he do that was morally wrong or against the law ?
To me, he didn't do anything. It was his right to do what he did, but in reality, he pissed a lot of people off and you can make the argument that a team doesn't want to deal with all the bullshite that comes with him.

I just visited his website. His foundation has a million dollar pledge to donate to different organizations.
It's full of links, contact info and a detailed breakdown of where all the money is going. Seems like a rational way to gain attention for these places, not just himself.

It's amazing the mental hoops people are jumping through to still hate the guy
Protest? "That's pointless; what does it accomplish!!?? POS!"
Actually act on your stance by donating time and money? "Pssssh it's all for publicity; still a POS!"
Gotta be exhausting to be filled with so much hate.

Got to have his people looking nice for their next court date.
I swear, these dumbasses in Baton Rouge are pitiful. Showing up to court in black girbaud's with a girbaud polo shirt on. And that's if they're actually dressed up.
I know a court's decision shouldn't be based on dress code, but dress for the occasion and show the judge and yourself a little respect.
I know it's not a popular viewpoint, but looks can go a long way in a courtroom. Of course, I'm talking about for lesser charges, nothing serious.

His not standing for the flag was a douchebag move but overall he appears to be a really good guy who cares about helping his fellow blacks so he is ok in my book.
